Comments
Campbell and Postgate, Int. J. Syst. Bacteriol. 19: 139-140, 1969, stated that the strain we believed to be Coleman 42 and designated NCIB 8452 was in fact Coleman's strain DL. Coleman's strain DL thus becomes the holotype of the species, retaining the same NCIB number. Coleman has since deposited his strain 42 at NCIB as NCIB 10149.
